Lamai is the second most famous beach area in Koh Samui with a 2 kilometer long sandy beach along which are numerous hotels of differing standards. Many restaurants along the beach road and a large bar area to the southern end. Off the beach Road is a children’s water park. Wat Lamai hosts a display of artifacts from “Old Samui” before tourism. Away from the beach road there are roads leading in to the hills and a back road recently opened will take you through the hills to Maenam. To the south of Lamai are the famous Hin Ta - Hin Yai (Grandmother – Grandfather) Rocks
A flat area of land with approx. 50 m beach frontage facing almost due south east. Ideally suited for a small hotel or private villa development.
